Solar ATAP has replaced the old NEM scheme — and it removes the biggest barrier homeowners faced: the quota lottery.
Unlike NEM 3.0, Solar ATAP has no limited quota rounds. Approved homes can proceed without waiting for an allocation window.

Panels generate from about 7am–6pm and cover your most expensive hours first. On TNB's optional Time-of-Use tariff, weekday peak power (2pm–10pm) costs 28.52 sen/kWh. Surplus you export earns a 27.03 sen/kWh energy-charge credit under Solar ATAP.
After sunset you buy from the grid: about 44.4 sen/kWh all-in for a typical home (energy 27.03 + capacity 4.55 + network 12.85 sen). On ToU, off-peak energy (10pm–2pm, plus all weekend and public holidays) is 24.43 sen/kWh — just 4.09 sen below peak.
Not for payback — yet. Storing a kWh instead of exporting it saves only ~17 sen, so a 5 kWh battery (RM15,000–25,000) cannot repay itself within its ~10-year life. Storage earns its keep as blackout protection, and after your 10-year ATAP tenure when export credits end. Every system we build is BESS-ready for that day.

Most residential systems range from RM15,000 to RM45,000 depending on size (typically 3–10 kWp), roof type and equipment tier. As a rule of thumb, budget around RM4,000–4,500 per kWp installed. We provide a fixed, itemised quote after a free site survey — no obligation.
Solar ATAP (Solar Accelerated Transition Action Program) replaced the NEM scheme from January 2026. The biggest change: there is no quota cap, so applications no longer compete for limited allocation rounds. You self-consume first and export surplus energy to offset your TNB bill — up to 5 kW for single-phase homes and 15 kW for three-phase homes.
For a typical home: 1 week for design and quotation, 4–8 weeks for SEDA and TNB approvals, 1–2 days for installation, then inspection and bi-directional meter installation by TNB. From signing to savings usually takes 2–3 months — we track and chase every approval for you.
No. Single-phase homes can install up to 5 kW under Solar ATAP, which comfortably offsets bills of roughly RM300–400/month. If your bill is higher, we can advise on a TNB supply upgrade to three-phase (up to 15 kW) and whether the numbers make sense for you.
Under today's tariffs, no. Solar ATAP credits your exported energy at 27.03 sen/kWh, so storing that energy instead only saves the difference — roughly 17 sen/kWh. A Huawei LUNA 5 kWh battery (around RM18,000 installed) returns only a few hundred ringgit a year in tariff arbitrage — slower than its ~10-year lifespan can repay. Where a battery does pay: blackout protection, and after your 10-year Solar ATAP tenure, when exports stop being credited. That is why every system we install uses a Huawei hybrid, BESS-ready inverter — adding storage later is plug-and-play.
Very little. Rain does most of the cleaning, but we recommend a professional clean and inspection once or twice a year — especially after haze periods. Our monitoring flags any drop in output automatically, and every system includes our workmanship warranty.
Three layers: 25-year panel performance warranty (tier-1 manufacturers), 10-year inverter warranty, and our own 10-year workmanship warranty covering mounting, cabling and roof penetrations. All warranties are registered in your name on day one.
